Annie Moses Band [This Glorious Christmas]
|
Annie Moses Band presents This Glorious Christmas, the group had some remarkable harmonics as the album progresses in
this Bluegrass style project. I was a little skeptical about the idea of bluegrass Christmas music, but this album made it
worth while. A lot of arrangements of songs in this album I have never heard before, as well as some songs that were new
to me.
This album was a new experience for me, but the fact that the album stayed with the main focus on the purpose of
Christmas said a lot to me. A lot of groups these days go both ways to the secular and non-secular songs, but not this
group. They kept it about the birth of Christ. Some of the songs I was not familiar with were “Bethlehem, House of Bread”,
“Little Baby” and “When the Christmas Baby Cries”. The rest of the songs are your average Christmas songs just sung and
played a little different. Bluegrass different.
The album was well worth while of listening to. I will recommend if you like good instrumentals or are a Bluegrass fan to
pick this album up.
