Main Review I often find it hard becoming a fan of new music artists that I have only listened to once or twice but after listening to just one song by Carlos, this is most certainly not the case. I was asked to pick, from a long list of albums, an album I wanted to review. Having never heard of this artist I decided to take the plunge and step out of my comfort zone and I'm very glad I did.
Carlos Whittaker, I feel, brings his own fresh sound while keeping the worship title flowing. A former worship leader, web blogger 'The Blogger' and an inspiration with a heavy influence on many churches. Having many conferences 'under his belt' he hopes his work will push Christians into a place where they will be real with themselves, with others and most importantly with God.
He doesn't give the music he does a title. Music is who he is and tries to impliment this into the music. Desire and compassion are what drive Carlos closer to people. “I’m very comfortable communicating the truth of Jesus in a way where people are comfortable to receive it,” he says. “Whether I have a guitar, or a microphone in front of me, or I’m meeting with someone.” “Pastoring and worshipping are the same thing to me,” “Leading worship is just a piece of my life. In every area, I think God’s wired me as a communicator.”
Closing Thoughts Some of my favorite songs from this album include: "Grace Already Won" and "Your Name" ...'Your Name is a strong and mighty tower Your Name is a shelter like no other Your Name, let the nations sing it louder 'Cause nothing has the power to save but Your Name. Amen! How true?!
