Finally, I see some light break through the clouds. Just when all hope was lost of
reviewing a band that really sounded (lyrically) like a “Christian” band. For every hand-
full of bands I review I get one that I can really get behind and support. The title of Fee’s
new album,’We Shine’, is quite fitting and describes the music very well.
Upon receiving the album I looked over the song title list as I do with every new CD.
Three words immediately caught my attention. The first track is named “All Because Of
Jesus”; the fifth is “Beautiful The Blood”, and the ninth “Grace Will Be My Song”. The
three magic words for me were Jesus, Blood, and Grace. One could write a worship
song from just track list alone. When listening to the album I was not disappointed. As I
have mentioned in previous reviews I prefer more aggressive music but I also have a
fond appreciation for good lyrics.

BLOOD. Why is that word so seldom used or talked about in today’s Christian music?
Maybe some artists think it is too gross or taboo to mention. Outside the hymns we sing
at my church Christ’s blood is nowhere to be found in today’s Christian music. It is
great to see a band that truly understands the importance of Christ’s blood in our lives
and even better they express it in their music.

I hope beyond all hope that this band will go far and receive the recognition they so
deserve. I know Fee will go on to do great and wonderful things for the Lord. You ask
me how I know that? It’s simple. Christ tells us in Matthew 12:34 “…for out of the
abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh”. One can easily assume, by listening to the
lyrics they write, that they mean what they say and vice versa.
I will end this review with something I rarely say…this is a good band.
