[ Writer's Closing Thoughts ]
I would recommend this album to any rock fans. It brings
something new with a much-needed message. The album
seems to be geared more towards Christians but has an
appeal to secular audiences as well. If you’re from the
Orlando area you can check out ‘Fireflight’ at one of
there many local shows. For a complete concert list and a
sampling of their album you can check out their myspace
at www.myspace.com/fireflight.
Reminiscent of Evanescence, Fireflight burst on the scene with 'The Healing of Harms'.
Straight out of Orlando, Florida. Fireflight features Dawn Richardson on lead vocals,
Wendy Drennen on bass, Glenn Drennen on guitar, Justin Cox on guitar and background
vocals and Phee Shorb on drums.

The first song featured on the album titled "Serenity" speaks of a life lived away from God
and the pain caused by it, calling the person back to relationship and trust with God. “The
light behind your eyes tells me that you've cried / Sometime tonight I offer down my hand /
But without your plans you cannot hide”.

Another amazing song on this album is titled "You Decide" (which features guest vocals by
Day of Fire's Josh Brown), it echoes the theme of healing and having the wrong views of
God, “Every day you hold on to your lonely broken heart / It’s tearing you apart / God is
calling out to you just let healing start / Will you open up and let Him in?”.  "Action" is the
last song on the album that’s title says it all. It is a call to action to the church to step it up
and truly be the body of Christ. Its hard-hitting sounds matched with powerful and
thoughtful lyrics make this track a favorite.
