Main Review
Over the years, the Newsboys have won the hearts of thousands of people of different ages from all over
the world with songs like “Breakfast”, “Entertaining Angels”, “It is You”, and “Million Pieces”. Their music
was very energetic, crazy and a bit weird but that's what made them unique. Setting them apart from other
bands in the Christian music industry. When I hear or see their name I automatically think, ‘Capn’
Crunch’, kangaroos and 'Ello boys! I, being one of their biggest fans, took it to heart when I found out front-
man Peter Furler was no longer going to be a part of the band and [when I heard] Michael Tait, former dc
Talk member, was to take Peter's place.. "What?!  The Newsboys just aren't going to be the Newsboys
without Peter." My thought process, “don't fix something if it ain't broke!”

Then, to be assigned this album to review - still trying to get over the fact Peter is no longer a band
member. If you haven't guessed it yet, this was a pretty hard album for me to review. I warn you, don't
expect to hear the Newsboys like we remember them. Nope, say good-bye to the old Australian
Newsboys and get ready to hear a replica of new front man, Michael Tait's former alternative band, Tait.
(No hard feelings against Tait or anything.)

But, with all of that being said, after listening to the album, I think the band did a very good job lyrically.
After all, the message, in my opinion, is the most important part. The lyrics are pure, simple and to the
point and at the same time deep, leaving you looking at yourself and examining yourself. I love this. This
is exactly what the word of God teaches in 1 Corinthians 11:31-32. "All around the world, every boy, every
girl, got One Shot to prove what they're all about...Are we scared to stand out from the crowd, make a
difference in our own town?"  What is your story? What are YOU all about?

I also really liked track 4, “Impossible”. We should be drawing all our strength from the One who made us
and when we do this...we are untouchable, unstoppable. "I can’t see myself without You With You I get
strength to do things I’ve never ever dreamt in a million years
I’m unstoppable ‘cause You’re here with me Unbelievable how I can believe how powerful You’ve caused
me to be, yeah See only You got me flying with eagles, walking on water With You I can do the impossible
Jump over mountains with one single bound I’ve found out I can do the impossible Do the impossible No
other soul could have saved me, I feel You in every heartbeat You’re incredible, invincible - so easy to see
You’ve strengthened me I’m out of this world, oh yeah, now that I’m with You I’m unbreakable, there ain’t
no way I can lose."

Closing Thoughts
All in all, I miss the old Newsboys. Having an ear for what some may call, "yucky synths", I call it,
"soothing sounds of the 80's synths" and that may just be why I also find that, the Newsboys just aren't
the Newsboys without an Australian front man named Peter Furler. But, what do I know?! What are your
thoughts?
