When I had come into the Christian music scene in the
summer of 2003, I had started by listening to a lot of
Christian radio. Since I wasn't too familiar with who
was who yet, I began to absorb the messages that
were carried by the music.
That's where songs like "Run" and "Turn" came into
play. I had heard both of these songs played on radio
quite a bit, and was intrigued by their message. It
never failed that no matter how many times I heard the
songs, I never knew who sang them. You know
when you really want to know who sang a song on
the radio, they never announced the artist after playing
the song!
It wasn't until I received the pre-release for Paul
Colman's History did I come to find out who it was.
As I listened into the rest of the tracks, other tracks
popped out to me such as "Gloria (All God's
Children)", "The One Thing" and others like "The
Solution". I instantly fell in love with the music and I
hope that this is just a taste of what's to come from
Colman in the future. Just when I wished his role as a
vocalist in the Newsboys would increase, his time
with the band is done.
But I know that the Lord has plans for this guy's
ministry. I'm anxious to see what comes next!
