Main Review The Aussie pop-rock four-piece is back with the release of their sophomore album Blink. I admit that their debut album Chorus of The Saints was cliché’ and nothing too special, but personally -- I enjoyed it. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for Blink. Unlike Tenth Avenue North’s The Light Meets the Dark, there isn’t much growth here. Something I was hoping for.
Songs like “Almost Missed This Moment” and “Blink” remind us how time flies and we must not take life for granted because before you know it, it’s over and everything has passed you by.
While songs like “My Hope” and Hold On Love” speak of God’s love and faithfulness.
The two things that I truly did enjoy were the anthem-type song “Love Found Me” and the new version of “Welcome To Eternity”, that ended the album quite beautifully. The softer tone brings the song to new heights.
Closing Thoughts Overall; Blink is filled with positive lyrics but not much else. I found myself a little tired by the end of the album. I probably won’t be coming back to it anytime soon. I really hope to see some growth on the band’ s next release.
