Slightly country and slightly rock, Shane and Shane have released their newest project, “Glory in the Highest.” With three
original recordings and a distinctly “Shane and Shane” flair to the traditional Christmas songs, fans will be pretty happy with
this album.

With all these Christmas albums floating around sporting the same old songs, it would be easy to get bored and disregard
the new stuff all together. However, when I hear the same Christmas song five times by different artists, it makes me think
about how enduring Christ is, and how important it is to celebrate Him this season, and all year round. The fact that so
many artists put out Christmas albums should not be about capitalizing on profits, but about continually giving glory to God.
Shane and Shane have produced an album that certainly aims to give glory to God.

“Born to Die,” “Holiday,” and “Glory in the Highest” are the three original tracks on the album, and they all encompass the
spirit of Christmas, and the sacrifice and love of Christ. In “Born to Die,” they sing, “You don’t take my life / I lay it down.
/ He was born to die.” It is uplifting, and a sweet reminder of what the birth of Jesus is all about.  “Holiday” and “Glory in
the Highest” are praise songs, thanking Jesus for everything He is to us, and about giving glory to Him through our lives and
actions.

The album has an overall quiet tone, and reverently sings of Jesus and how special is His love. It’s a very well done project,
and according to band member Shane Everett in a press release, “It really is the best time of the year. Shane and I are finally
ready, after a decade of singing together, to take the Christmas carol plunge. We had a blast recording this project, and we
hope our fans will enjoy it!”
