Main Review
The punk rock scene has been quite disappointing the last few years. Bands like Family Force 5, Hawk
Nelson, etc… have really been lacking in the message department. I would rather listen to them then
listen to some of the “secular” punk bands though. However, Stellar Kart has a message to their music. I’
m not too huge on punk bands but I enjoyed listening to them. The closest thing to punk that I like is
bands like O.C. Supertones (RIP), Five Iron Frenzy (RIP).

The album had several topics that were mentioned, but the resounding theme of the message was
knowing Christ and letting him in to you life. The third track, “Lose Control” has a line in the second verse
that made me laugh out loud when I heard it. “I was too cool to let you be my friend” is what it said. I
laughed because this is what today’s youth feel.

For me, the entire album revolves around this single line. Youth are trying so hard to be “different” yet are
desperate to fit in. Let’s face it, being a Christian in this crazy world is not “cool”. The message I got was
that one can be different and fit in by becoming a Christian. And becoming a Christian is something to be
proud of. Stellar Kart has shown that they are proud of being a Christian and making a stand…will you?

ADDITIONAL REVIEW by: Jay Heilman

I would definitely have to agree with Mike on this one.  While the 'punk scene' has been somewhat
disappointing with it's Christian message, I think Stellar Kart hits the nail on the head.  One song that
Mike didn't mention in his review was the song "Me and Jesus".  I know that the song was a huge hit on
the radio, but when I hear it, it always gets me thinking of the relationship that I have with Christ.
Remember the line in the chorus, "Someone loves you / Even when you don't think so / Don't you know /
You got me and Jesus" <-- This is true and don't you forget it!  I really like this album, it was thought
provoking, ministering and fun to listen to.  Be sure to pick it up and look for the latest from Stellar Kart,
'
Expect the Impossible', in stores on February 26, 2008!
