One of the great things about Steven Curtis Chapman’s music is, you don’t
question what he is writing or singing about. Like with the song “Broken”, he's
upfront about what he's trying to get across. "We're all broken / And we all need
a Savior / We don’t have to pretend about it / We don’t have to keep acting like
we're all okay / If we lift our eyes to the cross / We'll see the reality / That we're
all broken / And we all have a Savior."

Even with songs like “Cinderella”. It may not be about Christ directly, but instead
about a daughter who is growing up so fast right before a father’s eye. Whether
she was pretending to be a princess going to the ball. Or just a teenager getting
ready for her prom. Or still needing practice for her wedding that is only six
months away. She wants and needs her "daddy." And he will always be there,
similar to how God is always there for us.

With the song “Yours”, the chorus is pretty much self-explanatory. "Its all Yours,
God / All gifts are Yours / All our dreams are Yours / All our plans are Yours,
God / This whole earth is Yours, God / everything is Yours." That is a really
good song. Another track,  “Something Crazy”, is a song that I really like. I like
the beat, the lyrics, and very top notched if you ask me. It kind of reminds me of
myself. I do things out of the ordinary because of the love that I feel from God.
And love makes you do crazy things!

I especially like the first verse. "He's got a Bible and a megaphone / Standing on
the corner / And everybody's saying he's crazy / Well does he really think
anybody wants to hear what he has to say / He's not screaming at anybody / In
fact, he says it's a love story that he's trying to tell them / And he knows he may
look a little strange / But he just smiles and says that’s okay / Cause you know
sometimes love makes you act that way."

Another favorite song from this album is “My Surrender”. Another song that
really gets me thinking of myself when I hear it. The whole song is great. The
chorus is what I feel like saying to out God. "And I'm giving it all back to You / All
back to You / I surrender / Take it all / What song can I sing / But the song that
You give / I have nothing to bring / That did not come from Your hand / So here I
am with all I have." All in all this is a really good album. A very nice addition to
add to your collection, especially if you’re a Steven Curtis Chapman fan or if you
are a new fan.

Steven Curtis Chapman’s will promote the album with ‘Live In This Moment Tour’,
and will feature rockers Sanctus Real and singer/songwriter Bethany Dillon.
Special guest members performing with Chapman include his sons Will Franklin
(Drums) and Caleb (Guitar), both who make special appearances on ‘This
Moment’ and recently earned their keep and band roles with their dad during the
recent 2007 Winter Jam tour.
