As you can gather from my review of Chronology 1 I’m a Third Day fan. So needless to say
I was excited to get Chronology 2 to review. After reviewing Chronology 1 my expectations
were high for its sequel. My expectations were not only met but also exceeded in many
ways. The DVD was full of great videos. Included in the DVD is a feature recounting the
first ten years of Third Day, it reminds me of a “Behind the Music” type production. Along
with being very entertaining it was quite informative. I thought I knew a lot about Third Day
but I was pleasantly surprised after watching the features.

The album was a success also, although 9 of the 18 songs were re-releases of old songs. I
really did enjoy the live songs, especially “You Are So Good To Me”.  Again, for all the
Gomers out there this is a MUST HAVE. I must admit though, in my mind Third Day is still a
Southern Rock band versus the “praise and worship” moniker band they have recently
adopted. I will end this review by telling you that this is one of those albums I would pre-
order at the next available opportunity.

Additional Review by Jay Heilman

You know, Mike had gotten an opportunity to review both Third Day Chronology albums,
and seeing as though I too am a Third Day fan, I’ve decided to put my two cents in.  It’s
obvious in many ways that Third Day has come a long way since it’s national inception
back in 1996, and needless to say, it has been an impressive journey thus far.  The
question I am asked most often about the Chronology series is, “Is this a Third Day
greatest hits set?”.  Kind of.  Only this ‘greatest hits’ if you will has a lot of rarities, and cool
new documentaries that no other release has featured.

So let’s just say, that as a Third Day fan myself, I was actually quite pleased with the Third
Day Chronology set.  It gives the fan a more in-depth look at the world of Third Day while
keeping focus on what Third Day originally set out to do, and that was to glorify Christ
through their music.  So if you are a Third Day fan, or just coming to know the band (like I
once did for the first time in early 2004), then this is a good set of CDs to pick up.  It’s all
here, packaged in a algae green and burgundy red colored jackets.  Get them in Christian
music stores everywhere!
