The much anticipated Glory Revealed II album is finally here. If you loved the first one,
then you are in for a treat with this one. It is packed full with all new recordings from
artists such as...Jason Crabb, Sara Evans, Mike Donehey (Tenth Avenue North), Mark
Hall (Casting Crowns), Brandon Heath, Kari Jobe, Brian Littrell, Shane & Shane, Bear
Rinehart (Needtobreathe), Mac Powell (Third Day), Aaron Shust, Laura Story and many
more.
First thing, this album has some of the most interesting and intriguing artist combination
I have ever heard.
There were a few songs on this album that really stood out and spoke to me. The first
song was "Cup of Salvation" by Shane & Shane.
The one line that really sticks out in this song is "How do I repay the life that You gave /
I'll call on the name of the Lord and lift up the cup that You have already poured". We
often ask how do I repay the life that You gave? The only payment God asks from us is
our salvation. We should be convinced by the works in the bible and convicted by them
as well.
The next song that caught my attention was "To You Be the Glory" performed by Matt
Maher & newcomer, Kari Jobe.
"To You be the glory forever, to You be the glory Lord, amen". WOW! Words so
simple yet so powerful. Far too often I think we forget this. To You be the glory. For
from Him, through Him, to Him are ALL things. Without God and His mercy we are
truly nothing. We must give God the glory in ALL things weather its in dark or light, in
death or life, when hard time enter in. In all things we will worship You, for with You
there is NO end.
Closing Thoughts:
I always find these kinds of projects interesting because you never no what you are
going to get. The artist combinations are unique and so are the songs. In a way it's kind
of nice because it catches you off guard, and it isn't like anything you would normally
listen to.
Musically, this album has a Country/Western feel to it with the exception of a few songs.
This album is also filled with a few songs that I just couldn't get out of my head
(mentioned above). I have been singing them for a while now. I think that you will
enjoy this project when it's released and I hope that my insight helps set this album up
for you.
